The 2015 Women’s Softball season saw the Oregon Ducks again make it to the Women’s College World Series. Head Coach Mike White has yet to lose a game in the early rounds which again happened in Eugene, then at Howe Field. Immediately following the game, Howe became a memory to make way for a new home, Jane Sanders Stadium, currently under construction on the site of the old Howe Field.
Last season the Oregon Ducks were at or near the top of the standings most of the year and won fifty one games. They came up just short of the NCAA Women’s College World Series losing to UCLA and Alabama ending their season. The new season begins just after the new year, likely on the road as it has in past years playing in several Tournaments around the country before beginning the Pac-12 Season in their new stadium.
The Oregon Ducks have announced a Fall schedule of games as they gear up for the upcoming season. Fall practice begins on September 21st, and the Ducks will play eight games close to home as they get ready for the regular season beginning early in 2016. All games will be played at Marist High School in Eugene as the team awaits the opening of Jane Sanders Stadium, hopefully in time for the upcoming season.
All games are away with the exception of October 18th which will have Oregon meeting Northwest Christian and Concordia in a double header.
