FINAL

Pac-12 play begins for the Oregon Ducks on Saturday night in Primetime with the Utah Utes coming into Autzen Stadium. So far this season, the Conference has seen some of its elite fall, including USC last weekend to Stanford which left the Trojans tumbling out of the top ten. UCLA currently is ninth after narrowly defeating BYU last weekend by a point. This week the conference battles continue and we’ll have updates on all the games this evening via our Twitter Stream.

The Utah Utes have been a mystery this season. The team is 3-0 and have done it with Offense, Defense and Special Teams. All three facets of the game have worked together. The Utes have Quarterbacks that have hit over seventy percent of their passes this season and once again Devontae Booker has shown he can be a dual threat both running the ball as well as catching the ball in 2015. There are several big questions heading into this game. The first – Who will play Quarterback – at this point it is not just about Utah or Oregon, but both. I expect Travis Wilson will give it a go for the Utes and Vernon Adams for Oregon.

If you look at the statistics, Oregon has the second best Rushing Offense in the Pac-12 with Running Back Royce Freeman. Utah comes into Eugene with the second best Rush Defense in the Pac-12 giving up just over one-hundred yards per game. When it comes to the ground game something will have to give. With the Ducks depth at Running Back that was on full display against Eastern Washington, that breakthrough could come easier for Oregon, but the guy who plays opposite Freeman, Utah Running Back Devontae Walker needs to be controlled from the start. Walker is the threat both on the ground and through the air. I expect to hear his name called quite a bit tonight.
