After one of the most memorable and successful careers at the University of Oregon, then LaMichael James was drafted by the San Franciso 49ers in the 2012 NFL Draft, James never panned out in the NFL. He was cut by the 49ers after making several appearances, but never being considered as one of the top guys. Following several injury setbacks he was released and signed with the Miami Dolphins last season and he was cut several weeks ago. Now, another team has come calling for the service of the former Oregon Ducks Running Back. The Dallas Cowboys.

According to YardBarker, the Cowboys will be bringing James in for a workout on Wednesday. I believe that LaMike James has had enough time in the National Football League, with ten games on the active roster last season for Miami and his previous experience with the San Francisco 49ers that he could become a dependable player for someone at the professional level. Will it be the Dallas Cowboys? Time will tell, but Philadelphia Eagles fans will likely start chattering soon about how and why his former coach in Chip Kelly didn’t even look to sign his former player.

Last season James was used in very limited duty with the Miami Dolphins as the number four running back on the team. He totaled fifty-eight yards on just twelve carries, but was coming off an injury. LaMike James should now be healthy enough to compete and may find a home in the Lonestar State.
