The Oregon Ducks find themselves in an unfamiliar place at the halfway mark of the season sitting at 3-3 and at .5oo. They face a stiff test when they travel to Seattle to play Washington. The Huskies come off of their biggest win of the season with an upset win over USC 17-12. Washington could easily be 5-0 if they made a couple of more plays in their two losses, both were very close, falling to Boise State 16-13 and Cal 30-24. Oregon faces a harsh reality of having a lossing season for the first time in a longtime for Oregon Ducks football and fans of the program. They are also at the bottom of the Pac-12 North along Oregon State.
Quarterback vs Quarterback
Freshman Jake Browning leads the Huskies this season throwing for 1,113 yards with five touchdowns and five interceptions. Oregon on the other hand faces a dilemena at quarterback. They have to decide whether start injured quarterback Vernon Adams, backup Jeff Lockie or look to the future with Taylor Alie. Although Browning is prone to interceptions he remains the best quarterback in this game.

Oregon’s Running Game
Oregon’s running game is keeping them afloat this season as they contiue to try to figure out their quarteback situation. Royce Freeman is one the Pac-12’s best running backs and leads the Ducks. On 123 carries, he has 859 yards, with nine touchdowns. Taj Griffin has emerged as a classic Oregon running back, being able to hit the corner, showcasing his speed and a perfect complement to Freeman’s style as a power runner. So far this season almost all defense’s have had trouble stopping Oregon’s rushing attack, Washington should be no different.
Huskies Passing Attack vs Oregon’s Secondary
In every game this season, Oregon’s secondary has been suspect at best. Oregon in an attempt to address this started Charles Nelson at safety. Nelson had an amazing game, he gives the Ducks stability in the secondary. Hopefully Oregon will keep him there and others in the secondary can feed off of him. Browing can have big games, so the Oregon secondary will probably continue struggle.
Although Oregon is struggling this season and has many questions to answer look for the Ducks to win a close one 35-28. Browing will keep the game close through the air, but Oregon’s rushing attack will be the deciding factor.
