Oregon Ducks vs Arizona State: Three Things I’ll Be Watching

There is a lot to be said about a bye week. It is a time to rest up, a time to work harder, to get better, to get energized for the rest of your season, but for the Oregon Ducks who currently sit at 4-3, it is a chance to reset. Quarterback Vernon Adams is now healthy following a broken finger to start the season and according to the Ducks depth chart, he will start on Thursday night against Arizona State on the road. Adams had a decent game last time out on the road at Washington. It was a game that brought Oregon a Pac-12 win and Adams some redemption this season.

Similar to Washington, it has been over 4000 days since the Sun Devils have beat the Oregon Ducks, which equates to 11 years. Will that trend continue tonight? With the Offensive firepower that Oregon had found with Adams at Quarterback, they have a shot.

Oregon still has plenty to play for this season and the Sun Devils will start a gauntlet of teams that will challenge Oregon till the end of the season with Cal, Stanford, USC and Stanford upcoming to close out the regular season. There will not be a National Championship this season for the Ducks, but a Pac-12 Title Berth is still well within reach for this team. With the Quarterback question answered, my questions this week don’t go far from what I have asked the last few weeks. We know who will start, Vernon Adams at Quarterback. Offensive Efficiency is now the name of the game for Adams and the Ducks.
