More from Autzen Zoo

With Vernon Adams back at the helm, he lead the Oregon Ducks to a 26-20 win over Washington. The Ducks look to use that momentum to finish the season strong. Oregon is in a must win scenario for the rest of the season. This game is where they can start off on the right foot with a win. Arizona State remains a diffcult challenge for the Ducks as they come into the game with the same record as Oregon 4-3, 2-2 in Pac-12 play.

The Sun Devils have been up and down in their last four games. Losing a blowout loss to USC 42-14, then beating UCLA when the Bruins were ranked 7th. Next they blew out Colorado, after that they suffered another blowout loss, this time to Utah 34-18. Arizona State is coming off a by-week like Oregon, and must win out the rest of their season to contend for the Pac-12 South. They are led by quarterback Mike Bercovici who has 1,846 yards on the season with 14 touchdowns and five interceptions.

Arizona State’s most dangerous offensive weapons are wide receivers Devin Lucien and Tim White. Lucien leads the team in receptions with 26, and yards with 338, he has one touchdown. White is right behind with 22 receptions, 303 yards and five touchdowns. Oregon secondary will have their hands full, and hopefully with this game they can step up to the task. The Sun Devils have a good defensive unit, who have a great pass rush. They are also a very blitz happy defense. Look for them to have a lot of pressure on Adams.

The Oregon Ducks have Vernon Adams back, he gives them the best chance to contend for the Pac-12 North and Ducks fans don’t have to worry about a rebuilding year. Adams will have to show great poise against the Sun Devil as they will bring the blitz play after play and probably harass him most of the game. Adams has shown he can get away from pressure and extend plays in all the games he has played this season. He is the deciding factor in this game. It remains to be seen if Oregon relies heavy on the run with Royce Freeman carrying the rock if Adams get’s overwelmed. Oregon looks to win a close one this game taking this 28-24. Game time starts 7:30pm on ESPN.
