37 years later, Otis Day and The Knights are returning to Eugene. The once fictional band that starred in National Lampoon’s Animal House , has been a prominent name in Eugene ever since the movie was filmed on the University of Oregon campus in 1978. Their greatest hit, “Shout,” has been played on DuckVision at Autzen Stadium since the 2010 football season, and is now played on KnightVision at Matthew Knight Arena during Oregon basketball games.

At 4:30 PM on Saturday, the famous band will be doing a live performance in the Moshofsky Center, adjacent to Autzen Stadium. You do not need a separate concert ticket to enter, however you must have a ticket to the Oregon-California game to join the pregame festivities. The University of Oregon Athletic Department also announced that Otis Day will read the pregame lineups approximately 20-30 minutes prior to kickoff, and he will also be present in between the 3rd and 4th quarter when the song is played on DuckVision.
In September, Nike released a new version of the song — a recreated video starring the band, Marcus Mariota, Ashton Eaton, English Gardner, and LaMike James among others. It has now replaced the old version of the song when it is played on DuckVision.
It’s time to Shout! The Oregon Ducks and Cal kickoff is set for 7:30pm Pacific Time on ESPN2.
