Former Oregon Ducks Offensive Coordinator Scott Frost: “UCF is a Special Place”

Scott Frost has landed in the perfect place to start his Head Coaching Career at the University of Central Florida. The Golden Knights were winless in 2015 and up is the only direction the team can go. Frost will have time to get established as a coach and a mentor for the future of the program.

Former Oregon Ducks Offensive Coordinator Scott Frost was named the Head Coach of the University of Central Florida on Tuesday. Wednesday morning, he was introduced in a Press Conference. His opening statement was emphatic and structured. He was honored to be in that exact spot. Frost and his fiancee were wined and dined over the last two days. Frost met with ‘his’ players who gave him a round of applause when he walked into the room to meet him for the first time.

Frost becomes the 10th Head Coach in the history of UCF and takes over for the retiring George O’Leary. In looking at the landscape around College Football and the pressures that come with winning, the situation in Orlando is about a no pressure as you can get. This season the Golden Knights did not win a game so there is no where to go but up and nothing to give but time for Frost to get there and there is no doubt in watching him lead the Oregon Ducks Offense to over 70 wins the last three years that he will.

"I knew this place was special looking at it from afar. I am honored to be here. I’ve looked at a lot of positions the last three years and there wasn’t anything that made me want to leave the University of Oregon. That was a special place and I think this can be a special place.UCF Head Coach Scott Frost on Why He Chose the Golden Knights"

Scott Frost has landed in one of the top recruiting bases in the entire country and his team is smack dab in the middle. I expect it may take a few years for the former Oregon Ducks Offensive Coordinator to get his kind of talent on the field to run the Oregon style Offense he brought to the Pac-12 Conference.

"UCF has a lot of potential, has a great recruiting place. The people I have met are already impressing me."

The Oregon Ducks still have a game to play, but Frost did not commit to coaching the Oregon Ducks again. He did say that UCF is his priority moving forward.

"We’re gonna play hard, we’re gonna play fast and we’re gonna have a lot of fun."
