Oregon faced a tough task on Monday night. Anytime you face a team that has won seven straight games, the outcome cannot always be in your favor, but Dana Altman had his team on point and Oregon picked up a big win over a non-conference foe in Navy on the road in Pearl Harbor Hawaii.

Oregon would be without one of their top scorers for the season as Freshman Tyler Dorsey sat out with a leg/knee injury. He fell awkwardly last Friday against UNLV on the road in the second half, was on the floor for several minutes and was helped to the locker room. He did return to the game. He may have been held out as a precaution or to rest. Oregon is already playing this season without two key players that are expected back within the month.

Transfer Dylan Ennis has played the part of a vocal coach from the bench this season and Shot Blocker Jordan Bell looks closer to a return from foot surgery in the offseason. Without them, Oregon has sailed through the non-conference slate so far at 7-1 topping Navy on Monday night by 20 points. According to GoDucks.com it also marked the 609th straight game that Oregon has scored a three pointer, a statistic that goes back to the 1997 season.

Without Dorsey, Dylan Brooks stepped up to score 19 points to lead four players in double figures against the Midshipmen. The battle you always want to win is turnovers and Oregon manufactured 20 points off 18 Navy turnovers on the evening. The Oregon Ducks were outscored by 22 points by the Navy bench, as the Ducks scoring came from their starting five. With Dorsey out, 6th man Dwayne Benjamin had another big game with 16 points.

The Oregon Defense had one of their best games of the season starting with Chris Boucher with 3 blocks and 2 steals. He also had a double double with 14 points and 14 rebounds to lead the Defensive effort that saw 8 blocks and 14 steals on the night against the Navy Midshipmen.
