One of the most anticipated matchups of the Bowl Season may have taken a serious turn in the favor of the Oregon Ducks. On Thursday morning, TCU Quarterback Trevone Boykin was arrested outside a local bar in San Antonio according to ESPN and media reports. According to Bruce Feldman, he has been suspended for the game.
Boykin was with team mates at the bar when fans began to taunt him leading to the fight. He reportedly hit a bartender and had an altercation with a police officer who was arriving on the scene by bicycle according to the report. He was arrested and charged with assaulting a police officer.
He will not play and that takes away a big part of the Offense for 10th ranked TCU. He has passed for over 3500 yards and 31 touchdowns and earlier this season had his team in the running for a spot in the College Football Playoff.
Quarterback Bram Kohlhausen will likely get the start for the Horned Frogs. He has a win under his belt when Boykin was out earlier this season with an injury against Kansas. On the season he thrown for 369 yards, 2 touchdowns and an interception.
