Oregon Ducks vs TCU Horned Frogs: Three Things I’ll Be Watching
Oregon and TCU will take the field in the Valero Alamo Bowl on Saturday and even without Quarterback Trevone Boykin, the Horned Frogs still have one of the best Defenses in the country along with an experienced backup Quarterback in Bram Kohnhausen.
Last month when the Alamo Bowl teams were announced, the match up appeared on paper as one of the best for the entire bowl season. Two teams that had a chance where injuries played a part to keep them from their ultimate goal and the College Football Playoff. The consolation prize, a top 10 finish to a season that did not quite go the way they wanted. Not a bad place to end the year honestly. Vernon Adams injured his finger from the start and was not himself, but Oregon found a way to reel off another winning streak to finish strong. TCU saw their Quarterback in Trevone Boykin go out with an injury as well midway through the season, but the Horned Frogs also finished the season on a high note and a top ten ranking. The match up lost some luster on Thursday morning.

TCU Quarterback Trevone Boykin was arrested following a fight in a San Antonio bar. The charges: public intoxication and assault on a police officer, a felony. He was suspended for the game against Oregon giving the reigns to a backup Quarterback who does have a win under his belt. Bram Kohlhausen has thrown for under 500 yards on the year and has three touchdowns and an interception under his belt. How he plays on Saturday will dictate the outcome for TCU.
