The Oregon Ducks Women’s Basketball team entered Pac-12 Conference play undefeated at 11-0 for the first time in a long time. The non-conference slate saw different styles of Offense and Defense and Oregon passed every test under second year Head Coach Kelly Graves. Jillian Alleyne is no longer a one woman show as recruiting has started to payoff to include other role players on this seasons roster and they were playing well entering Pac-12 Conference play and a meeting on the road at UCLA.

Following a sluggish start, Oregon got things going in the 2nd Quarter, specifically with points inside the paint. The Ducks took the lead into halftime thanks to 23 points and 15 rebounds from Alleyne and Jacinta Vandenberg. The Bruins more than doubled the Oregon Ducks in the third quarter to pull away and put Oregon away in the 4th Quarter to win the game. Oregon put up quite a fight in the loss as UCLA could not shoot from three point range, but did find the basket over 50 percent in the second half after lackluster shooting in the first half for the Bruins.

Despite the loss, Jillian Alleyne posted her 81st career double double and on most nights when she performs at a high level, it will be an Oregon Victory. She had 25 points to go with 19 rebounds and Defensively had 4 steals against the Bruins in the 80-69 loss to open Pac-12 play.

Oregon now turns their attention to USC. The Trojans are also improved this season and are 12-2 on the season. Oregon will look to get back on the winning track on the road. USC saw their second loss of the Pac-12 Season against Oregon State on Saturday. Oregon visits the Galen Center on Monday as both teams will look for their first Pac-12 Conference win of the year.
