The Oregon Ducks received some bad news before the game against the California Golden Bears on Wednesday night. Transfer Dylan Ennis was lost for the season after re-injuring his foot during the Oregon State game on Sunday. Dana Altman has found ways in his time in Eugene to make things work, regardless of injury and he would have to find a way to do it again for the rest of the season. The challenge began Wednesday night.

Oregon found themselves in a dogfight from the very beginning against Cal. Chris Boucher and Tyler Dorsey led the way for the Ducks, Boucher had a career high 18 points on the night to go with 4 blocks and 4 steals. Tyler Dorsey shot 4 for 6 from three point range and finished with 17 as it came down to the wire in a 68-65 win to even their Pac-12 Conference record at 1-1. Defensively, the Oregon Ducks forced 18 turnovers on Cal and held them scoreless from beyond the arc. For the game the Golden Bears were 0-12 from three point range.

Jordan Matthews, one Cal’s biggest scoring threats was held scoreless on the night. Two seasons ago he put up 32 points against the Oregon Ducks in Eugene. The Oregon Defense played an outstanding game holding off a key player and just allowing points inside. They had 5 blocks and 11 steals on the night.
