It is one of those odd schedule quirks in the Pac-12 Conference. To make traveling easier for the teams they are scheduled in pairs. This week there is no pair. Oregon and Oregon State will play each other twice. First, in Corvallis on Friday, then on Sunday in Eugene.  The Oregon Ducks are looking for their first Pac-12 Conference win of the season after starting the year undefeated in their non-conference schedule.

Jillian Alleyne has continued to dominate on the boards and the glass racking up the double doubles again this season. Oregon State is ranked in the Top 15 entering the matchup and have won nine straight in the series with the Oregon Ducks. No one on the Oregon roster was around the last time the Ducks beat the Beavers, but after a hot start it could happen in the next two games for second year Head Coach Kelly Graves.

The Oregon State player to watch is Ruth Hamblin. According to GoDucks.com she is averaging over 20 points and 10 rebounds per game against Oregon the last four years and has allowed Alleyne to hit just over 31 percent of her shots from inside.  However this season for the Oregon Ducks is different. There are more scoring options as Graves begins working his Offensive and Defensive scheme with Oregon.

Jillian Alleyne netted her 29th straight double double in the loss last week against USC and will look to reach 30 against Oregon State on Friday night. Lexi Petersen is the Oregon Duck with the hot hand of late hitting 7 of 11 for 22 points against the Trojans. She has put up over 20 points in 4 of her last 6 games this season.  These next two games are important for both teams, more so for Oregon who needs to get in the win column in the Pac-12. The schedule does not get easier after Oregon State, with Stanford and California looming in Eugene next week.
