The Oregon Ducks have yet to lose a game at Matthew Knight Arena this season. Of course, when you are looking to get to the postseason, protecting your home turf is key. On Wednesday, Dana Altman watched his team take control late and defeat the Cal Bears. Cal left Eugene with a loss and went to Corvallis, where they lost earlier in the day on Sunday to Oregon State.

Stanford came into the game winning four of their last five games and with upsets happening throughout the weekend as a full student section was ready to cheer.

Chris Boucher would get the ‘block party’ started with about 18:30 left in the first half. Roscoe Allen would score the first points of the night followed by a dunk by Dillon Brooks and a lay-in from Tyler Dorsey for the Ducks. Michael Humphrey would score the next five points for the Cardinal giving them a 3 point lead approaching the 14 minute mark in the first half. Boucher would have five of the Oregon Ducks 7 blocks on the night.

Stanford would extend their lead 15-9 entering the final 10 minutes of the first half. Oregon would go on a more than four minutes scoring drought missing six of seven field goals in the process before Dillon Brooks give Oregon two with a tip-in followed by a steal and a change in momentum. Stanford did not do much in the process and only led 15-11 with just under eight minutes left before halftime.

Casey Benson would tie the game at 17, but Stanford would come right back with Roscoe Allen hitting a three to take the lead right back. Oregon would have the final shot of the first half and Tyler Dorsey hit a falling away two pointer that went in to give the Ducks a 28-24 lead as the crowd gave him a standing ovation to end the first half.

Oregon would out rebound Stanford 16 to 11, but had two more turnovers than the Cardinal at 9. Stanford did not go to the free throw line in the first half. Oregon hit three of five shots from the charity stripe.

The Ducks would start the second half with the ball and extend their lead briefly. Within five minute the Oregon lead was one as both teams exchanged missed baskets. Tyler Dorsey would hit two key shots gave the home crowd, one of the largest of the season, something to cheer about with a 6 point lead entering the final 10 minutes of the game.

Jordan Bell and Dwayne Benjamin would quickly push the Oregon lead to 11. Chris Boucher would follow to extend the Oregon lead, but Roscoe Allen would hit a three pushing the lead back to 10 points.

"I thought Jordan Bell gave us a big lift. Second Chance points was the difference in the game. Rebounding was the difference.Oregon Head Coach Dana Altman on the win over Stanford"

At the 4 minute mark, Chris Boucher would pick up his fourth personal foul as Oregon led 58-49. The Ducks were looking to finish strong making five of seven field goals in the final minutes of the game against Stanford.

Oregon would hit 10 team fouls and Dillon Brooks would hit two foul shot extending the Ducks lead to 60-49. The teams would exchange fouls(and shots) the rest of the way, but it was Oregon who would pick up their 2nd Pac-12 win on the year. It was two very physical games this week for the Ducks beating Cal and Stanford at home, wins they needed to have. Oregon hit 5 three pointers and out rebounded Stanford 38-22 in the win.
