The Oregon Ducks faced Colorado on Sunday that was not to be. Dana Altman’s team has never won a game on the road in Boulder.

The loss dropped Oregon to 14-4 on the season as the Ducks and Buffaloes begin the third week of Pac-12 play with a 14-4 record. For the game Colorado had the crowd, but also appeared to have the referees in their favor. In the first half there was a lot of bumping going in between players, which in a way is good – let them play. It seemed that the home team was getting some calls that Oregon was not, but toward the end it did not matter. The game was tied with 4 minutes left and in the end Oregon had a chance, but Colorado out-rebounded the Ducks and hit more free throws.

Dillon Brooks led five Oregon Ducks in double figures with 21 points. Tyler Dorsey was key from three point range going 4 for 8 to put in 21 points. Oregon had 18 points off 14 turnovers. Dana Altman watched his team be off balance in key spots throughout the night including bench points. The Buffaloes had 45 to the Ducks 16. Colorado also had 34 points in the paint, quite a few from Josh Scott who had 17 points on the night and had the ball working in his favor.

Oregon now returns home 1-1 from their road trip to take on the Southern California schools. USC is surprisingly sitting at the very top of the Pac-12 Standings entering the third week of Conference play. UCLA is always dangerous. The Ducks are next in action on Thursday hosting the USC Trojans for a 6pm Pacific Time tipoff from Matthew Knight Arena. The game will be broadcast by Pac-12 Network.
