The Oregon Ducks are on the radar of another highly recruited talent in the Class of 2016. Junior College Defensive End Jonathan Kongbo had a visit from Oregon Coaches last week and has listed the Oregon Ducks in his top 8 schools, soon to be cut down to a Top 5. On Saturday Mark Helfrich named his Defensive Coordinator as Brady Hoke will come to Oregon and restructure the Defense from the 3-4 that has been in place since 2009 to a new look 4-3 Defense for the upcoming 2016 season.

Kongbo is a 4-star recruit according to 247Sports and the Crystal Ball Predictions is favoring the Oregon Ducks. He was previously committed to the University of Tennessee, but decommited  on January 5th from the Volunteers. In a new look Oregon Defense, Kongo could make an immediate impact up front with the departure of DeForest Buckner to the National Football League following the 2015 season.

The Junior College Transfer also has good size and speed at 6 foot 5 and 264 points. He can run a 4.69 40-yard dash. Decision Day is quickly approaching for the Class of 2016. Oregon brought in Brady Hoke in time to save their Defensive Recruiting Class. If Kongo is part of Oregon’s future, he could be a key piece to Hoke’s success in his first season as Defensive Coordinator.
