USC comes in at 15-3 on the season, Oregon enters the matchup at 14-3. USC has won ten of their last eleven games. Oregon started the season on a hot streak, but have cooled slightly, most recently losing a close game on the road at Colorado over the weekend. Head Coach Dana Altman has been a ‘let’s go out and see what we’ve got’ kind of coach for Oregon since he arrived in Eugene and a win on Thursday night would put the Oregon Ducks in a tie for first place in the Pac-12 into the third week of the Conference season.
Oregon also had an advantage in the RPI category. Before the contest with the Trojans, the Ducks were ranked in the Top 10 at number 7 – the top team in the Pac-12.
Top Players To Watch:
Oregon
- Dillon Brooks has led the team in scoring 12 of the last 13 games and Tyler Dorsey has been the hot hand from beyond the arc, hitting 50 percent in the loss to Colorado.
USC
- The Trojans have been Dunk City this season hitting 71 dunks on their opponents. This will certainly be an area to watch on Thursday night, as well as perimeter shooting. All 5 starters for USC are in double figures this season, but Jordan McLaughlin is the one to watch averaging over 13 points per game.
