The Oregon Ducks Women’s Basketball is doing something that will take time. Learning how to win can sometime be easier said than done, but on Friday night against Colorado on the road, it was the doing that earned the victory. Oregon held the Buffs to just 31 percent shooting on their home floor en route to a 59-46 win and their 2nd Conference win on the season, their first road win in the Pac-12 this season.
Jillian Alleyne was again in double double form for her second straight game with 14 points and 15 rebounds. Lexi Bando also talled 15 points for Oregon. Kelly Graves watched his team overcome a drastic start that saw the Buffs jump to a 12-4 lead and take the first Quarter with the Ducks starting 1 for 7 from the field. He also watched his team recover for the win. The Ducks shot 44 percent from the floor and over 30 percent from three point range for the game.
The Second Quarter was the turning point for the Oregon Ducks. Following a 7 turnover opening stanza, Oregon committed just one turnover before halftime and hit two three point shots courtesy of Lexi Bando. Oregon had 30 points in the paint and scored 8 points off of 10 Colorado turnovers. The Ducks Defense had 2 blocks and 6 steals.
Oregon now travels to Utah at 1pm on Sunday and will look to make it three straight wins.
