The Oregon Ducks have turned the page on last season and are looking to set the record straight. Last year at this point it took a monumental season ending winning streak to make it into the NCAA Tournament after a rough start to the season. 2015 is looking a lot different and a lot brighter for the Oregon Men’s Basketball team.

Now they face the team they lost two three times last season in Arizona. The Wildcats started the season as the toast of the Pac-12, but have dropped three games this season, all on the road. California topped Arizona last week. The Wildcats have the longest active home winning streak in the nation at the McHale Center that currently stands at 49. On Thurday, Oregon becomes number 50 and the odds are not on the Ducks side. During the streak, the Wildcats have won by an average of over 20 points and over 17 against Pac-12 Conference foes.

Last Time Out(vs UCLA)

  • Oregon continued to take care of business at home and remain undefeated at home this season
  • Dillon Brooks led three scorers in double figures for the Ducks
  • Oregon hit 52 percent from the field in the Second Half vs UCLA

Oregon has an advantage in Dillon Brooks who will look to bring his A game on Thursday on the road. The Ducks will have to do what they have done at home in a hostile environment. 2015 will not be made or broken over one game, but a win puts the Oregon Ducks in the early NCAA Conversation where they deserve to be.

Arizona is averaging 82 points and 40 rebounds per game this season. Early foul trouble is not an option for the Oregon Ducks on the road. On Defense, Chris Boucher has been a force for Dana Altman this season when it comes to blocked shots. The Wildcats have 111, Boucher has 65 of the Ducks 125 blocks this season.

Gabe York is one to watch for Arizona. He is hitting 43 percent from beyond the arc this season along with the majority of the team that is hitting over 40 percent from the floor.
