The 2015 saw the Oregon Ducks go 9-4 and on Saturday Quarterback Vernon Adams showed why he could be a key player at the next level throwing three touchdowns in one half of the East West Shrine Game, one for 93 yards. On Wednesday, Adams and former Oregon Wide Receiver Bralon Addison received invites to the NFL Combine. The Combine is an opportunity for College Football Players to be tested and graded based on their skills. The last Oregon player who participated in the NFL Combine was Quarterback Marcus Mariota who just finished his first season with the Tennessee Titans.

Adams spoke with ESPN about football and his Combine invite, “I think the East-West Shrine Game helped me out.” The former Oregon Ducks Quarterback also said sitting on the sideline with a concussion for the second half of the Alamo Bowl was harder than the injury that sidelined him early in 2015, “That was way worse than my finger being broken. Just watching us, I don’t know. It was tough. A lot of things just went wrong in the second half. I was just trying to keep the guys up on the sideline and just trying to stay as positive as I can as they were coming back.”

Adams is training in Anaheim, California for the next step in his career. Following his seasons at Eastern Washington and his year at Oregon leading the Ducks it is clear he has something special. He has shown he can throw the ball to just about anyone completing passes to Oregon Receivers and others in the East West Shrine Game. Team Chemistry should not be an issue for Adams, he just needs one thing, a chance.

"I just need one chance. That’s all I need. If I get that chance, man, I’m going to make that team proud.Vernon Adams on Preparing For A Shot At The NFL(via ESPN)"
