Last month we talked about Oregon Ducks Quarterback Vernon Adams and Wide Receiver Bralon Addison being invited to the NFL Combine. Three other former Oregon players will join them later in February in Indianapolis. Wide Receiver/Running Back Byron Marshall, Offensive Tackle Tyler Johnstone and Defensive End DeForest Buckner will also look to boost their pre NFL Draft status at the Combine
Of the five attending the most intriguing to me is Byron Marshall. He played two positions for the Oregon Ducks and played both very well. He began as a Running Back, but before the 2014 season started took over as a Wide Receiver when teammate Bralon Addison was lost for the season with a knee injury, he showed that he could excel at both positions and became a Hybrid of sorts for Oregon. Addison also has something to prove coming off a major surgery. He was able to perform on the field, but it will be interesting to see his endurance during the NFL Combine.
One player who will turn some heads is former Oregon Ducks Defensive End DeForest Bucker. The Pac-12 Defensive Player of the Year is already slotted as a first round NFL Draft pick, a good showing will only improve his stock and move him higher on the Draft Board. Buckner could get paid with a big performance at the NFL Combine.
