The Oregon Ducks will look to get a Pac-12 Conference win back after starting the 2016 Pac-12 slate with a loss on the road against Oregon State.

The season has been a success for Oregon in 2016. As of last week they were being highly considered in several March Madness brackets for the NCAA Tournament. Following two losses on the road at Cal and Stanford where the home team was just better, Altman will look to get the Ducks back on track at home where they are undefeated.

Last Time Out(vs Stanford)

  • Dillon Brooks again led Oregon with 26 points, but the Ducks fell 76-72 as the comeback came up short
  • Oregon fell to 16th in the AP Poll and with two losses fell to 2nd in the Pac-12 behind Arizona.

The Oregon State Beavers come to town winning three of their last four and are currently in the lower tier of the Pac-12 Standings at 15-9 and 6-7 in the Conference. The Oregon Ducks are looking to right the ship after being the Pac-12 leaders entering last weekend. Arizona has taken over the top spot and Altman and the team once again look up and will need a win on Saturday to keep pace with the Wildcats in the Pac-12 Standings as the regular season winds down next week.

The matchup worth watching on Saturday is the battle between Dillon Brooks and Gary Payton II. Brooks has led the charge for Oregon this season averaging over 18 points per game. Payton II is putting up over 16 points per game and is hitting slightly better from the field than Brooks. The Ducks have more big game experience in 2016 than Oregon State having knocked off Baylor in the non-conference slate and taking down Arizona and the Nation’s longest winning streak at the time at the McHale Center. This is certainly a big game in a big game atmosphere in the Pac-12 this season. It is a sellout at Matthew Knight Arena.
