In College Basketball Homecourt Advantage is a big key. This season the Oregon Ducks Men’s Basketball team is undefeated at home and well on their way to the NCAA Tournament. Now it is a matter of what seed they will end up with. Coming off back to back road losses Dana Altman has his team playing as good as they have all season in a big win over their in state rivals last weekend. Now, the Ducks face Washington State, a team near the bottom of the Pac-12 Conference Standings on Wednesday night.
The Washington State Cougars are 9-18 this season and 1-14 in the Pac-12, but in my eyes are still dangerous. Washington State would like nothing more than to come into Eugene for a Signature win to their season and something to build on for next year. Josh Hawkinson is averaging over 15 points per game for the Cougars and hitting close to 55 percent of his shots from the field. Washington State has three players hitting over 39 percent from 3 point range and in any game that can be a factor.
On the other side, the Oregon Ducks can play Offense and Defense and are led by Dillon Brooks who has led the team in scoring most of the way this season. Tyler Dorsey took the reigns against Oregon State, but Brooks is the clear leader on Offense. This will be the final week of home games for fans to see the 13th ranked Oregon Ducks this season.
