Edward Cheserek is already becoming a legend at Hayward Field for what he has accomplished during his time as a collegiate athlete. Raevyn Rogers showed sparks last season as a Freshman and has picked up right where she left off making her mark in the 800 meters earlier this season. Both set new marks in the Millrose Games last weekend and were honored this week.

Rogers was named Female Athlete of the Week, Cheserek Male Athlete of the Week this week.

Edward Cheserek finished the 800 meter race at the Millrose Games in sixth place but set the second highest mark in the history of the NCAA in the process. He also broke Galen Rupp’s mark that was set in 2009.

Rogers finished 8th in the 800 meters, but as a Collegiate came close to breaking a decade old record and she surpassed the mark set by Laura Roesler. As a Sophomore she is now at number two on the all-time list, but she is also the youngest membet of the list according to GoDucks.com.
