Oregon Ducks In The NFL: Safety Eddie Pleasant Re-signs With Houston Texans
The National Football League Calendar flipped on Wednesday allowing teams to sign or resign current players and Eddie Pleasant received a contract extension with the Houston Texans.

Former Oregon Ducks Strong Safety Eddie Pleasant will remain with the Houston Texans. He has be resigned for two years following a successful 2015 season according to the Houston Chronicle. Pleasant played in every game last season and had 28 tackles and two interceptions. He also defended six passes and recovered a fumble.
Pleasant helped lead Houston to a playoff berth last season that ended in a lopsided shutout loss to the Kansas City Chiefs on the road. He has played all four seasons of his NFL Career with the Texans and will now have two more season to continue improving at the Strong Safety position. He has shown durability and played in 16 regular season games in two of the last four years. Eddie Pleasant has also become an assett on Special Teams. He showed some athleticism in recoving a fumble against the Tennessee Titans in November when Bishop Sankey fumbled the ball on a kickoff. He also picked off New York Jets Quarterback Ryan Fitzpatrick in a game in late November.
Pleasant playing in 13 games in 2011. He helped the Oregon Ducks get to the National Championship game against Auburn.

For his Oregon Career, Pleasant had 123 unassisted tackles, assisted on 73 and and 1 forced fumbed and 5 fumble recoveries in four years at the University of Oregon.
