The Oregon Ducks Baseball team was scheduled to play a game at SEC Powerhouse Alabama on Thursday, bot mother nature had other ideas and the game was rained out.

It would have been the first game on the diamond between the Oregon Ducks and Alabama Crimson Tide, but weather and a heavy Spring Storm called the game before it began according to GoDucks.com. No word on if it will be rescheduled from the University of Oregon but I suspect it will be cancelled. The Alabama Crimson Tide will return the favor and play a game in Eugene at PK Park next season.

The roadtrip for the Oregon Ducks continues with a three game series at Mississippi State set to begin on Friday night. The Ducks will enter the game with a top 10 rotation in Team ERA with Friday Starter Cole Irvin, Saturday Starter Matt Krook and Sunday Starter David Peterson, who was named the Louisville Slugger Player of the Week for his 12 strikeout performance in a series clinching win last weekend against UC Santa Barbara at PK Park.

Peterson lowered his ERA to a microscopic .045 entering the road series with Mississippi State. The Oregon Ducks also had a series of 13 straight innings against the Gauchos where they did not give up a run. They will look to continue that trend on the road.
