The Oregon Ducks could be in line for a number one seed in the NCAA Tournament, one scenerio could put the Ducks in the drivers seat.

March Madness is almost upon us and many believe that the Oregon Ducks are deserving of a number one seed in the NCAA Tournament. The field will be announced on Sunday afternoon and according to several Bracketologists, including Joe Lunardi from ESPN, Oregon is sitting at a 2 seed behind 1 seed North Carolina in the West Region. There is a chance that the Ducks can end up as a top seed.

Oregon finished against Arizona on Friday and would need to win the the Pac-12 Title on Saturday against Utah. Of the games to be played around the country over the next few days, one will likely determine the Oregon Ducks fate as a top seed.

Notre Dame upset Duke in the ACC Tournament on Thursday night. Their next opponent is North Carolina.

The Fighting Irish are also looking to get into the NCAA Tournament at 21-10 and knocking off the 7th ranked North Carolina Tar Heels on Friday could open the door for a number one seed for the Oregon Ducks come Selection Sunday.

North Carolina went and well, opened up a can against Notre Dame. It was an 18-0 run that started it for the Tar Heels and they never looked back in 78-47 win. Next up, 4 seed Virginia will give it a shot against the 1 seed Tar Heels.

Two big games on Saturday will shape the rest of the weekend for Dana Altman and the Oregon Ducks. A North Carolina Upset and a win over Utah could put Oregon is the perfect position for a number one seed.
