Oregon Ducks Baseball Will See Familiar Face vs Mississippi State
The Oregon Baseball team will look to continue their strong start to the season in SEC Country against Missisippi State.

The Oregon Ducks spent their first day in SEC Country in the dugout waiting to face Alabama, but the game was cancelled due to weather. With the added off day, the team now heads to Mississippi State for a three game series starting on Friday.
The 21st ranked Bulldogs welcome the Oregon Ducks and the teams will play for just the second time in their history. The first meeting was in the first era of Oregon Baseball in 1968 and Oregon won 6-5.
The Oregon Ducks will see a familiar face in Jack Kruger who played for George Horton in 2014 before transferring. He is now with Missisippi State and is leading the Bulldogs and the NCAA in key categories including doubles with 9. He is also in the top 20 nationally in total bases with 41.
Mississippi State will see a lights out Oregon Pitching Staff. Last weekend Oregon put together a string of 13 scoreless innings against UC Santa Barbara leading to a Game 2, 1-0 loss in extra innings. David Peterson was named Player of the Week last weekend for a 13 strikeout performance in a series clinching win over the Gauchos.

Cole Irvin takes the mound with a 2-0 record and a 0.82 ERA to start the series on Friday evening. First pitch is set for 4:30pm Pacific Time.
