There was really no question as to who this game belonged to. From about midway through the first half when Oregon started to pull away you had a sense that there was no what that Utah was going to be allowed to make a comeback. When you are making twice as many shots as your opponent, the game is eventually going to go your way and Saturday night in the Pac-12 Championship it was the Oregon Ducks who took the Conference Title in Las Vegas.

Chris Boucher and Dillon Brooks combined to hit 7 of 11 from beyond the arc and the Oregon Defense was lethal with 5 blocks and 13 steals on the night. Dana Altman watched his team give up just 7 turnovers while forcing Utah to 20. The Oregon Ducks Offense was clicking most of the night with 16 assists with 6 from Elgin Cook and 3 by Tyler Dorsey.

It was a history setting win for Oregon, 31 points is the highest margin of victory in the history of the Pac-12 Tournament. The team didn’t just play like a number one seed, they played like the number one team in the country and finished what they started.

Now where will the Oregon Ducks land in the Pac-12 Tournament? They have certainly made a case for a number one seed. One team fell in their Conference Title game on Saturday. Villanova lost to Seton Hall. Will that be an open door for Oregon to move up? Right now the Ducks are no worse than a 2 seed. The NCAA Tournament Selection Committee has some deciding to do.
