The Oregon Ducks Football team could see another basketball player transfer to play for the team for a season in Dwayne Benjamin who was also a former football player in high school.

More from Autzen Zoo

Following the College Basketball season as a Senior can be tough. Your time with the team is over. Dwayne Benjamin had a solid final year in an Oregon Ducks Basketball uniform, but he still has the itch to play. Following in the footsteps of Jonathan Loyd who was with the football team in 2014, as a Wide Receiver and kick returner.  Benjamin will look to take his football talent to Autzen Stadium this fall according to the Oregonian.

The former Oregon Basketball player, similar to Loyd, does have football in his background from high school. His frame should have Oregon coaches welcoming him at six foot seven and Offensive Coordinator Matt Lubick said earlier this week if he was willing, Benjamin could easily find a spot on the field for the upcoming season of Oregon Football.

"If he comes out, we’d be jacked. We had a great experience with Jonathan Loyd. We’d find a place. That (6-foot-7 frame) would give us a lot of options..@OregonMBB‘s Dwayne Benjamin (@MadBuckets) as a HS football player https://t.co/Nc6Y9qACUM— Kevin Wade (@KevinWade_) March 31, 2016Oregon Offensive Coordinator Matt Lubick on Dwayne Benjamin as a Wide Receiver(via the Oregonian)It is the first week of Spring Practice for the Oregon Ducks. Time will tell if he plans on being part of the Oregon Football team in 2016. From his high school film he appears more athletic than Loyd and could find his way on the field in the upcoming season.
