Oregon Ducks Face Portland, Look For 3-Game Winning Streak
The Oregon Ducks are looking to build on recent success against Cal and will travel to Hillsboro to take on Portland Wednesday.

The Oregon Ducks are coming off winning two straight games against the team at the top of the Pac-12 Conference. The California Golden Bears came into Eugene with a head of steam winning seven of their last eight games. Oregon now heads North on I-5 looking for a winning streak.
Following a rough Game 1 last Friday with Cole Irvin taking the loss, the Oregon bats came alive on Saturday and Sunday. Oregon had 15 hits, a season high in the series finale and took the last two games of the series. Before returning to Pac-12 play this weekend, Oregon will play one game against Portland in Hillsboro.
The Pilots were looking to play back to back games against Oregon State and Oregon, but Tuesday’s game against the Beavers was postponed. Portland enters the game with Oregon losing their last seven games, including a 10-1 loss in Eugene at PK Park last week.
Since then, the Oregon Offense has awoken with two big games against Pac-12 Rival California. A.J. Balta and Austin Grebeck both hit home runs in the series last weekend and Oregon had back to back innings with 6 and 4 runs in the finale.
Portland comes in looking for a victory after a rough patch losing 9 of their last 10 games.
A midweek game for Oregon usually means pitchers getting work and I would expect that to be the case again on Wednesday night with 4 or 5 Oregon pitchers playing in the game.
Cooper Hummel and Caleb Whalen are two players to watch for the Portland Pilots. Both are hitting at a .333 clip this season and are key to getting the team going.
