Oregon Ducks In The NFL: DeForest Buckner Has Pre-Draft Visit With Tennessee Titans

Former Oregon Ducks Star DeForest Buckner visted Tennessee  on Tuesday to share thoughts on his playing style and guage the Titans interest in him.

The 2016 NFL Draft is less than a month away and college football players with higher aspirations are doing their homework and visiting with teams where they feel they could make a difference. Among those making the rounds is former Oregon Ducks Defensive End DeForest Buckner who recently took the time to talk with the Tennessee Titans. The Titans already have some familiarity for Bucker in Quarterback Marcus Mariota.

The former Oregon Quarterback was the number two pick last year and had a solid season with the Titans, albeit with some growing pains. This year, Tennessee finished with the worst record in the NFL and has the top pick on April 28th. Bucker would certainly help on the Defensive side of the ball, but Tennessee is likely looking for Offensive Line help with the top pick.

"I can be nice off the field, and there is nothing wrong with that. But I feel when it comes to the game, I am a different person. I have some of that dog in me.Defensive End DeForest Buckner on his personality on and off the field(via TitansOnline)"

The Pre-Draft visit showed that Buckner sees himself as a top NFL prospect and came off as a ‘nice guy’, similar to Mariota according to TitansOnline. He can also get the job done in the field and he showed that earning the Pac-12 Defensive Player of the Year in his final season with the Oregon Ducks.

The NFL Draft kicks off on April 28th and Buckner is expected to be a first round draft pick.
