Following a momentum building series at home last weekend, the Oregon Ducks lost the series at UCLA on Saturday.

Oregon Ducks Starter Cole Irvin did not have a good outing. He hit two batters and allowed a walk giving the Bruins a 2-0 lead. He allowed three runs and six hits in 5 2/3 innings on Friday night. Both Ducks Starters for the series on the road have been tagged with losses. Oregon will look to David Peterson to salvage a game in the three game set on Saturday afternoon.
The Oregon Offense, which was potent last weekend and had multiple 10+ hit games was held to just four hits against UCLA in Game 2. A.J. Balta did his best to bring Oregon back with a rally in the 8th, but the Bruins were ready in the bottom of the inning with a run and won the game 4-3.
Grant Dyer went 7 innings for UCLA and gave up just two hits for the win. He struck out four and the Oregon Ducks left six runners on base. Phil Crag-St Louis continues to work his way back into the lineup and had an at bat, he struck out.
Matt Mercer and Brac Warren did their best to limit the damage throwing 2 1/3 innings and giving up two hits and one run and striking out a combined three batters.

Oregon will look to take the final game of the series as David Peterson takes the mound on Saturday. First pitch is set for 1pm Pacific Time.
