The Oregon Football program may have the opportunity to sway two of the nation’s top recruits after a top Quarterback and Wide Receiver decommited from Texas A&M.

Following the Spring Game 2017 Commit, Quarterback Ryan Kelly de-commited from the Oregon Ducks. On Wednesday Texas A&M 5-Star Quarterback Tate Martell decided that the A&M was not going to be the best fit for his college career and the downward spiral began. A&M Wide Receiver Coach Aaron Moorehead then took to Twitter and what he said turned the tide for 5-Star Wide Receiver Tyjon Lindsey to also decommit from the Aggies. Two big recruits gone in less than 24 hours.

Part of the reason may have been Kelley, who reached out to Martell after the Spring Game and told him that he and Lindsey could be a good fit for the Oregon Ducks according to Andrew Nemic from the Oregonian. Wide Receiver Manny Netherly also decided to leave the program following Moorehead’s comments on Twitter which talked about commitment, and loyalty and giving 100 percent.

Martell has not received an offer from the Oregon Ducks, but Lindsey had them listed in his Top 10 according to 247Sports. The addition of one or both the Oregon Ducks would certainly add some buzz for the Class of 2017. While Oregon appears to be set at Quarterback for the 2016 season, there is still some question about 2017. The Spring Game showed that things are progressing in the right direction, but a 5-Star Quarterback addition to the class could lend to an interesting competition.
