Vernon Adams spent the weekend working out for the Seattle Seahawks after going undrafted last weekend in the 2016 NFL Draft. He spent Saturday with the team in the hopes of landing a contract, but left on Sunday without one as noted on his Instagram account via 247Sports.
Adams has several opportunities ahead of him, one with the Washington Redskins, but his best chance of seeing a pro field may be North, in Canada at the CFL Level according to NFL.com.
"“All three guys (quarterbacks)did a really good job They are really good players. We’ve got to figure some stuff out, which is great. That’s what we hoped for. We hoped for all of these decisions to be difficult in which way we want to go.”Seattle Seahawks Head Coach Pete Carroll on Vernon Adams(via 247Sports)"
Vernon Adams has the skills to compete and play at the next level. The idea that his height is an obstacle is not an option to him, as Adams fought that argument as best he could before the NFL Draft. It did not work in his favor. He is coming off an impressive Senior Season with the Oregon Ducks, where he led the team to a 9-4 record throwing 26 touchdowns to 6 interceptions and over 2600 yards.
