The Oregon Ducks enter the final weekend of the regular season on a roll and face a Utah team that has yet to win a game against the Ducks. It will also be a chance for Oregon to move into the Top 8 in the RPI and have a shot at hosting Super Regionals as they march toward the NCAA Tournament. They currently stand at number 9.
Oregon took a head of steam into the series last weekend at UCLA and dropped a game but came back to take the series over the Bruins and now look to clinch their fourth straight Pac-12 Title. They can do it with a win on Thursday as they open a three game series agaist the Utes.
Utah has lost four of their last five games, but still have the talent to win. They started the season 11-4 in the Pac-12 and are looking to build toward next season. The Oregon Ducks are on the opposite side bringing power pitching with Cheridan Hawkins, who will seek her 20th win of the season, and power at the plate with a multitude of hitters. Oregon has won sixteen of their last seventeen games and will look to close out the regular season on a high note.
Oregon is 12-0 against Utah, since the Utes joined the Pac-12, which includes four straight series sweeps.
