As they did on Friday, the Oregon Ducks Baseball team took an early lead off the bat of Daniel Patzlaff and a two run home run, but Oregon State would comeback to beat Oregon meaning the game on Sunday was for bragging rights as the Season series is unofficially tied at two games a piece.

Oregon State scored four runs off two hits in the third, including a three run home run of their own after Oregon Ducks Starter David Peterson. Following a web gem of a play on Friday, Carson Breshears had a fielding error on Saturday night that fueled the inning for the Beavers. George Horton saw his team outhit Oregon State 5-4, but the four hits the Beavers had were bigger as Oregon fell 6-3. Both teams enter the finale on Sunday at 11-12 in the Pac-12 Conference.

David Peterson went 6 2/3 innings giving up three hits and six runs. He struck out six. It was not a terrible start for Peterson, but some run support could have made a big difference in the outcome. Daniel Patzlaff had the Line of the Game for Oregon with his home run, he added another hit for two hits, two runs, and two RBI’s.

Oregon had opportunities with 12 runners in scoring position. They finished the game 1 for 8 in the category according to GoDucks.com
