She is considered one of the top European players who has a connection to current Oregon Duck Maite Cazorla, and has played with her. Both will reunite in Eugene next season. Aina Ayuso is a 5 foot 11 guard from Barcelona, Spain
Ayuso credited the direction of the program and Assistant Coach Mark Campbell as her reason for committing to the program, ““I followed the college basketball season because there were many Spanish players playing on teams in America, and [Oregon guard] Maite [Cazorla] was one of them,” Ayuso said in a message. “Oregon is building a very good program and I like the way that they play. I spoke with [associate head] coach [Mark] Campbell many times and I really liked the whole staff.”
According to the Emerald, she took an official visit to the University of Oregon in Late April. She averages 12 points and 5 rebounds per game and is shooting just over 38 percent from the field.
