The Oregon Ducks took two games from the Portland Pilots on Tuesday night and return to Pac-12 play this weekend with some momentum.

The Oregon Ducks added two runs to close out the first game against Portland in a 6-1 win and also officially earned Head Coach George Horton his 1000th win of his coaching career. The Ducks picked up where they left off to start the second game of the night andwasted no time plating 8 runs in the bottom of the first off Jackson Lockwood and batting more than a round and hitting 7 for 10 with runners in scoring position to start the game. It was the most runs put up in a single inning.
Oregon went with the All Staff approach in Game 2 starting Matt Krook who threw two solid innings after barely making it through two innings in his last two starts. Horton said after the game that Krook may be used out of the bullpen this weekend against Arizona. The first inning not only opened the flood gates, but saw another record tied.
The Ducks tied the record for most at bats in an inning with 12 after batting more than a round. Portland was able to get on the scoreboard in the fourth, but Oregon prevailed 15-4 and took two games they needed to have. Oregon is still within reach of the Pac-12 Title and is just three games out of first place.

The Oregon Ducks host Arizona for a three game series starting on Friday. Game one is set for a 4pm Pacific Time first pitch on the Pac-12 Network.
