The Oregon Ducks open the NCAA Tournament against a talented Fordham Bulls team on Friday night.

The Oregon Ducks Softball team welcomes in Fordham, Long Beach State and Baylor for the Regional Round of the NCAA Tournament starting on Friday. While Oregon has gotten used to playing night games in the new Jane Sanders Stadium this season, the Rams will meet Oregon at night, for just the fourth time in their history.

Oregon is coming off a series vs Utah and claiming their fourth straight Pac-12 Conference Title winning two of three vs the Utes and earning the 5th overall seed in the NCAA Tournament.

Fordham enters the Tournament at 39-19 and ois 11-6 on the road and finished the Atlantic 10 Schedule at 18-4. They have experience up and down the lineup and bring some Offensive power to Eugene.. Three player have over 60 hits on the season for Fordham.

Jessica Shaw leads the team with a .361 average and 10 home runs on the year and is the player to watch for the Rams.

Oregon will likely counter with the Pac-12 Pitcher of the Year on the mound in Cheridan Hawkins who has 21 wins in the year and a 1.44 ERA in Pac-12 play in 2016. The Oregon Offense is also loaded with multiple players having 10+ homerun seasons including Koral Costa, Nikki Udria, and Janelle Lindvall.

Oregon and Fordham take the field at Jane Sanders Stadium Friday night in Game 2 following Long Beach State and Baylor. First pitch for Oregon and Fordham is set for just after 8:30pm Pacific time.
