It was another quality start from Pitcher Cole Irvin who scattered six hits through six innings giving up just one run. He left the game in a 1-1 tie, but Stanford got the best of the Oregon Ducks Bullpen for the 2-1 win. Carson Breshears scrored the lone run for the Ducks in the fourth inning.
The Ducks put together just three hits in the series opener on Thursday with A.J. Balta, Brashears and Kyle Kasser getting to Stanford pitching. The Oregon Bullpen did take a hit other than the loss.
Brac Warren struck out one batter after following Starter Cole Irvin before suffering an injury. Cole Stringer followed, gave up the go ahead run and took the loss for Oregon.
The Pac-12 Conference has been anything but predictable this season, but road wins can be better than home wins when it comes to the RPI. The Ducks could still finish in the middle of the Pac-12, but they need back to back wins to have a chance.
