Mt. San Antonio College Sprinter Cravon Gillespie announced he had committed to Sprint for the Oregon Ducks.. A member of the Class of 2017, Gillespie has speed on his side. According to 247Sports, Gillespie ran a 10.04 personal best in the 100 meters, which bested current Oregon Ducks Track and Field Star Devon Allen, who is having the season of his life following a football injury in 2015
Cravon Gillespie also has football in his background and played both Cornerback and Wide Receiver. Right now, it appears that Track and Field will be his focus at the University of Oregon, but similar to Allen, also a two sport star, the possibility of returning to the gridiron for Gillespie is not known.
In his Sophomore season at Mt San Antonio he also set a 20.20 mark in the 200 meter. As a Freshman last season his set a 400 meter at 51.78 seconds.
