The Oregon Ducks Men’s Track and Field Team leads the overall Team Competition by a point entering Championship Friday.
At the conclusion on Thursday, two Oregon athletes completed the Decathalon Mitch Modin finished 13 overall and Joe Delgado came in 14th overall. Neither added any team points for the Oregon Ducks through the two day event. Wednesday however saw plenty of action on the track leading up to Friday.

The Oregon Ducks team performed well on Wednesday on the opening day of the Men’s Competition led by Devon Allen, who finished first in his heat of the 110 Meter Hurdles and will look to duplicate his 2014 performance later this afternoon on the track at Hayward Field. For the Oregon Ducks Men, Marcus Chambers made his way to the final finishing second in his heat for the 800 Meters, but the story of the day was Edward Cheserek who won the 10,000 Meter Final. He will also be participating in the 5000 Meter Final this evening.
By the end of the evening a Men’s Champion will be crowned. As it stands, the Oregon Ducks have a one point lead entering the competition this afternoon. Autzen Zoo will have Live Coverage from Hayward Field starting at Noon. Heptathalon events begin at 12:30 and Track events begin at 5pm.
The NCAA Track and Field Championships wrap up on Friday night with the Men’s Championship with the Oregon Ducks in the conversation. Saturday with the Women’s Championship at Hayward Field.
