247Sports lists Young as a 5 foot 11, 3 Star Wideout. He attended the same high school as Kirk Merritt, who Oregon lost last week. Young has made a visit to Oregon during the Spring Game in May according to Justin Hopkins.
He posted to Social Media, via video, his Top 5 which included Oregon, Notre Dame, Tulane, Texas A&M and Missouri. Being a member of the Class of 2017, his recruitment is starting to heat up with recent offers from Arizona and Minnesota. Right now it appears that his decision may lean toward the Notre Dame Fighting Irish.
Oregon has eight commits for the Class of 2017, four on Offense, four on Defense. Young would be the first Wide Receiver of the class joining a big Defensive Class form commits last month from Linebacker Sampson Niu, Defensive Tackle Rutger Reitmaier, Defensive End Langi Tuifua, and Cornerback Deommodore Lenoir.
Young said his trip to Notre Dame put them at the top of his list, but time will tell. With an improved Defense, Young could fit well into the Offensive system for the Oregon Ducks.
