So far the Summer of 2016 has had some solid recruting months for the Oregon Ducks. June was big, and it appears that July is off to another good start with the pickup of Class of 2017 3-Star Tight End Tre McKitty. 247Sports lists him as the 18th best in the Country at his position. McKitty made his announcement at the conclusion of The Opening Finals on Sunday at Nike World Headquarters.
ESPN lists McKitty as a Four-Star talent. He is also the Most Offered player in the Country at his position. 247Sports lists 32 offers including USC, Colorado and Arizona from the Pac-12 Confernce, but McKitty chose Oregon. He joins another very highly touted Tight End as part of next year’s Recruiting Class in Moses Robinson-Carr.
Entering 2016 the Ducks will have one more season with Pharoah Brown, who is returning from a devastating injury, missing all of last season as he went through rehab. He looked good in the Spring Game and should be ready to go when the regular season gets underway vs UC Davis in September.
