Thursday was the first of two days for Pac-12 Media Days and Oregon is seen not as a top school, also several Media deals were announced, none including DirecTV.

For fans in the Pac-12 North one team has been the thorn in Oregon’s side in the recent past. With a returning Star in Christian McCaffrey, who is coming off a record performance in the Rose Bowl where the Cardinal dismantled Iowa, Stanford is set as the top team and was chosen to win the Pac-12 by the Media. In this scenerio, one would expect that Oregon would play second fiddle, but in fact they will play third.
Washington was chosen to take second in the Pac-12 North, with the Oregon Ducks moving down to third. It is the first time in 56 years that the Stanford Cardinal was chosen as number one according to Pac-12.com.
On the opening day of Pac-12 Media Days, it was also announced that the Conference of Champions has a deal in place with several Media outlets for 2016-17 including Twitter to showcase the Conference and games throughout the 2016-17 season. The deal includes every sport with the exception of, you guessed it, football. The Conference also struck a deal with Cox Communications and Frontier Communications to show games in Arizona and California respectively. There is nothing in place concerning DirecTV and I don’t anticipate this a viable path to still be considered for the Pac-12.
