If you looked at the Preseason Watch lists that started to appear out of the woodwork last month, some would have thought it was Running Back Royce Freeman who would appear on the Under Rated list, but the Oregon Ducks lost dual position player Bralon Addison to the NFL opening the door for one player in particular. Darren Carrington.
Without Addison there to gobble up passes, Carrington could land in the go to position on the field for Dakota Prukup this Fall for the Oregon Ducks. Athlon Sports recently released their Top 50 Under Rated Players for 2016 and among the five players that made the list from the Pac-12 Conference, Darren Carrington was there, and for good reason.
"Despite not playing in the Ducks’ first six games, Carrington ranked second on the team with 32 catches for 609 yards and six scores. Additionally, had he qualified in the conference statistics, Carrington would have ranked second among receivers by averaging 19.03 yards per receptionWhy Athlon Sports Sees Carrington As A Key Offensive Weapon in 2016 (via Athlon Sports)"
Of course, don’t discount the talents of Devon Allen, Dwayne Stanford, and Jalen Brown at the Wideout position for 2016, as well as some of the new faces including La’Mar Winston and Alex Odofile.
