While Head Coach Chip Kelly has moved on to the San Francisco 49ers, Philadelphia is still home to several former Oregon Ducks including Josh Huff and Kenjon Barner who both had solid performances on Thursday.
Head Coach Doug Pederson picked up a Preseason win over the Tampa Bay Buccaneers 19-7. The non-Oregon highlight of the night was the performance of Fist Round Draft pick Carson Wentz who went 12 for 24 for just under one-hundred yards. He did throw an interception, but showed poise in the pocket and ability to get away from a chasing Defensive Lineman at times.
Kenjon Barner and Josh Huff made their biggest impact with kickoff and punt returns. Barner had two returns for 65 yards. Huff had one return for 39 yards. While it is just a preseason game, Huff and Barner are looking for more of a roster spot over an invite to the Practice squad. Kenjon Barner has more to prove after an injury last season.
Bralon Addison also found a spot on the field against Tampa Bay as both a Rusher and Receiver for a combined 14 yards.
Philadelphia heads to Pittsburgh for their second preseason game next weekend on August 18th.
