The injury bug has bitten the Oregon Ducks twice in 48 hours on the Offensive Line.
On Monday, Matt Miller retired from football. Wednesday morning Freshman Zach Okun was transported to a local hospital for precautionary reasons according to the Oregonian. At the moment we do not know the extent of the injury or issue as the University of Oregon does not discuss injuries.
Following practice Wednesday, Offensive Line Coach Steve Greatwood said that Okun was in line to get an MRI. Okun is clearly part of the future Offensive Line for the Oregon Ducks. He is a redshirt Freshman entering the 2016 season.
In hearing from Coach Greatwood there was a cautious optimism concerning the Freshman’s condition. The Oregon Ducks Offense won the 1 on 1’s in Practice on Wednesday as they continue preparation for the upcoming season. Health is always a concern during Fall Camp. You don’t have to go any further than LSU on that. Running Back Leonard Fournette was seen in a boot after he suffered a reported low ankle sprain. It was a simple precaution, but the internet went nuts over one of the best Running Backs in College Football this season.
We will update this story as soon as we know more on his condition.
